June 8th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Joseph Square. Wear Orange is dedicated to honoring the lives of Americans affected by gun violence and elevating the voices of every American who demands an end to gun violence. With the support of HCCA and in collaboration with Neighbors for a Vibrant Harper’s Choice, the public, family-friendly event will include children’s crafts and activities, speakers, entertainment, gun violence survivor resources, community resources and refreshments. We will arrange for local nonprofits and community organizations to set up information tables at the event with a focus on safety, access to community services and programs that provide positive experiences for youth. Together, with Harper’s Choice residents, elected officials, faith leaders, students, educators, gun violence prevention advocates, community and business leaders and members of the Howard County community at-large, we will gather to share our commitment to making our communities safer from gun violence.
