Swansfield House Fire

As you may have heard, a family in Swansfield lost their home to a recent fire; the property is uninhabitable.  A friend of the family has set up a “Go Fund Me” page to help raise money for the family.  Here is what the page says:  “My friend Mel and his sister lost their childhood home due to an electrical fire. Mel is on 100% disability that will not adequately cover a monthly rent. He did not have a mortgage as the house was paid off. I’m asking for 25,000 to cover a year’s worth of rent plus incidentals. Mel has been a loyal friend for 30 years who would give you the shirt off his back. There is not a more deserving person on the planet.”  In addition and as we understand it, there was no insurance.  If you would like to make a contribution, click here.
