Programming will be presented in a series of socially conscious and entertaining blocks throughout the Columbia Film Festival which highlight a wealth of compelling topics. Film enthusiasts can enjoy a wide selection of genres that includes a Classic Corner Vintage Film Double Feature, an exceptional Student Film series, and an Opening Night VIP reception followed by two Maryland feature film comedies and much more.
For three full days Columbia Film Festival morning to evening events continue with a unique live screenplay reading as a free event, a powerful documentary collection of films focusing on social justice and equality, plus a series of inspirational films touching on balance, health and wellness.
Other highlights include a Maryland based Western feature film set in the silent movie days, a horror/thriller set in Ellicott City, and almost two dozen remarkable short films representing multiple cultures, comedy, drama, animation and cinematic beauty.
We wrap up on Saturday with the very best shorts of the International, DC and Baltimore 48 hour film Festival, and a very special eight time daytime Emmy Nominated Web Series with celebrity guests, prior to an exciting awards ceremony followed by reprise “Best of Fest” screenings!(Scheduled films subject to change)
