A stream restoration project has been identified by the Columbia Association and the Howard County Department of Public Works, Bureau of Environmental Services, and has been scheduled for design. Please be advised that the consulting firm of Stantec/Straughan Environmental has been retained to perform a site assessment and design for this project. Part of the assessment work will include field surveys which are anticipated to be done within the next several weeks.
The surveyors or employees of the consulting firm acting on behalf of the Department of Public Works of Howard County may be entering onto your private land for the purpose of making the necessary field surveys in order to perform the assessments and may do so in accordance with Real Property Article Section 12-111, inclusive, of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Our consultant has been advised to take every precaution to limit disturbance to private property.
